Job Description Job Description Salary: $65,000-$70,000 St. Francis Center (SFC), a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado, wasestablishedin June 1983. SFC is a refuge for men and women who are homeless in the metro Denver area. Ourprograms and services are tailored toward adult women and men, and focus on daytime shelter, social services, health and wellness, housing, employment, and outreach. At SFC, guestshave the opportunity towork with a variety of specialists, depending on their individual needs, which is often the first step toward transformation and ultimately self-sufficiency. We are currently looking for aStaff Accountant. This is a Full-Time, non-exempt position eligible for an excellent benefit package as outlined below. Position Overview TheStaff Accountantis responsible formanagingdaily financial operations, focusing onfund accounting, grantsaccounting,processing donorgiftsand transactions,handling daily tasks likeaccounts payable,accounts receivable,fundraising data entry, andmaintainingall accounting records and files. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The department also has a full-time Senior Accountant. Primary Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned) Financial OperationsandTransaction Processing:Manage A/P, A/R,and fundraising data entry. GrantManagement:Track restricted fundsandmonitorgrant spending. Compliance & Reporting:Ensure adherence to GAAP and nonprofit regulationsandassistwith reporting and audits as needed. Budgeting:Assistwith annual budgets, track budget vs. actuals, and provide financial data for strategic planning. Internal Controls:Maintainaccounting policies, procedures, and controls to prevent fraud and errors. Stakeholder Communication:Provide clear financial reports toprogram managers andleadership. Knowledge,Skillsand Experience Bachelors degree in accounting and/or 3years experiencein accounting and non-profit contract management. Knowledge ofgenerally acceptedaccounting principles related to non-profit organizations Knowledge of federal government guidelines Experience with payroll systems Excellent written, oral, and organizational skills Demonstratedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point Flexible and creative self-starter who can work both independently and within a team Sincere commitment to working collaboratively with all constituent groups including management and staff Prior experience in a non-profit environment is essential Commitmentto the Agencys mission Compensation and Benefits: $65,000-$70,000 This is a full-time, non-exempt position, Monday through Friday The position is eligible for a robust benefits package including: Employer-paid health insurance with an HRA plan Employer-paid dental insurance Employer-paid life insurance Robust pension plan (5% plus a dollar-for-dollar match of contributions up to 4% of earnings) Generous Employer-paid sick/vacation leave St. Francis Center is an Equal Opportunity employer.
