Job Description Job Description Senior Accountant Hybrid opportunity in our Denver, CO or Pensacola, FL office Birdon is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Accountant with a strong focus on performing day-to-day accounting functions and monthly close cycles. This position will also assist with the internal and external financial reporting. If you possess strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities and a commitment to process improvement and operational excellence, we would love to speak with you. Some of the main duties include: Perform necessary monthly, quarterly and annual close functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations Act as a key liaison both within the Finance team and with other departments Assist with Accounts Payable issue resolution, when needed Assist with recurring Payroll accounting functions Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements Monthly sales tax preparation and filing across multiple jurisdictions Support and participate in annual audit procedures Minimum Qualifications include: 4 years of relevant accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus) Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration CPA a plus Knowledge of US GAAP Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) a plus Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems); Microsoft Dynamics 365/Business Central experience a plus Public accounting experience preferred, but not required Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with data Strong communication and interpersonal skills Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment Birdon is committed to the HEALTH and SAFETY of our workforce and to the ENVIRONMENT we expect this same commitment from all employees.
