Customer Service Billing Representative - CSR - Call Center Billing
Representative in Scottsbluff, NE, for a long-term temporary
opportunity. Customer Service Billing Representatives interact with
customers to provide information in response to inquiries about
products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. If you

Responsibilities for a Billing Representative include but are not
limited to the following:
*Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide
information about products or services, take or enter orders,
cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints.
*Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording
details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions
*Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve
Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or
payments, or arrange for billing.
*Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for
*Rotate through all billing assignments to learn each task and
related process. Performs all current billing functions using
pre-established guidelines with minimal instructions, and with
*Generate billing batches without error ensuring notice dates are
*Works bill/transaction batch exceptions and is able to do basic
account research related to exception type.
*Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures
for billing/back office tasks.
*Work daily queries and reports as assigned.
*Accurately work billing/transaction batches and post to
*Complete data entry and various worksheets
*Maintain accounts (mailing addresses, service addresses, etc.)
*Ability to serve as call center escalation point for basic billing
*Apply adjustments to accounts or addresses estimated usage.
*Ability to troubleshoot accounts within the billing process, batch
selection issues and most exceptions.
*Basic understanding of client's processes and client
*Ability to make basic decisions and problem solve some
*Ability to give input on making processes more production and cost
*Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and
a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
*Basic understanding of the service levels for the client,
deadlines and reporting time frames
Candidates must meet the following requirements for
*High School Diploma or GED
*2-3 Years of Customer Service Experience
*Exceptional customer service approach to work with internal and
*Windows-based software applications, including Excel
*Ability to perform repetitive tasks
*Strong data entry skills including 10-key by touch and
*Demonstrates analytical skills
*Must be able to pass a client specific background and drug
We have an opening on Monday - Friday, 6 am - 3 pm.
Pay for this position is $10.30/hr plus overtime as needed. This is
a temporary, 6 month opportunity.
