will inform and counsel prospective and enrolled students regarding
expectations, timelines, financial aid options and requirements,
payments, scholarship applications, entry requirements, part-time
jobs, on-campus activities, housing, and community information.
Additionally, the role involves evaluating financial aid
eligibility, conducting need analysis, performing federal
verification, certifying loan eligibility, and offering financial
aid/veterans counseling under the direction of the Student
Readiness Manager, with a focus on facilitating student readiness
and successful enrollment. Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate
with enrolled and prospective students to establish expectations
and timelines for completing enrollment/registration requirements,
including assisting with the completion of financial aid forms,
federal loan documents, and readiness items to ensure timely
enrollment Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective
and enrolled students utilizing Veterans Educational Benefits,
managing certification of enrollments, monitoring student progress,
and ensuring compliance with VA regulations. Provide ongoing
support to students and families regarding benefit eligibility,
application processes, and documentation requirements Provide
information regarding admissions policy, financial aid, programs of
study, support services, and student organizations Contact incoming
students to acquire required documentation, such as proof of
graduation, financial aid paperwork, VA education paperwork,
deposits, and housing applications Maintain a comprehensive
understanding of financial aid practices, policies, and procedures,
including FAFSA filing, eligibility requirements, scholarships,
grants, and loans Review for accuracy and provide signature
approval/disapproval of loan applications, promissory notes, and
other financial documents Determine student eligibility for various
financial aid programs by evaluating financial aid applications and
verifying provided information Conduct entrance and exit counseling
in accordance with school, state, federal, and agency guidelines
Assist students with institutional payment plans and provide
information in person, on the telephone, and through electronic
methods Implement, coordinate, and oversee assigned administrative
programs Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to student
finance and enrollment processes Conduct workshops and
presentations to students and families regarding financial aid
programs, application processes, and other student services Work
cohesively with Admissions Representatives to facilitate
outstanding service to prospective students and their families
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA guidelines and other
relevant policies Update student records and maintain comprehensive
documentation of communications in the student database Other

Experience Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to communicate in Spanish (written and oral) Strong
organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle
multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Ability
to engage with those of varied cultures and backgrounds Ability to
develop and present educational programs and/or workshops Advanced
working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and
Salesforce Ability to make evaluative judgments, investigate and
analyze information, and draw conclusions Ability to promote and
maintain a cooperative work environment Solution-oriented,
resourceful, and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility
and ownership Ability to work independently and schedule
appointments effectively Strong attention to detail and accuracy in
maintaining records and processing documents Knowledgeable
regarding appropriate federal, state, and school policies and
procedures Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements and
potential extended hours Requirements Minimum Requirements (A
combination of the following experience/training would qualify):
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
recognized by the U.S. Department of Education 2 years of
administrative work experience, preferably in a higher education or
financial aid setting Spanish-speaking (preferred) Strong working
knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
