Job Summary:
The Department of Cell & Developmental Biology is searching for an
Anatomy Prosector and Instructor for a variety of programs on
campus with a start date of approximately June 1, 2025. This 1.0
FTE position serves in conjunction with other Anschutz Medical
Campus (AMC) faculty and staff to prepare CU's graduates for their
future careers.
Key Responsibilities:
40% - Cadaveric Donor Dissections:
Complete cadaver dissections for the Dental and Physician Assistant
curricula as assigned by the Course Directors.
Implement continuous quality improvement processes for cadaver
dissections.
Coordinate and oversee additional dissection needs from hourly
student workers for each program.
10% - Donor and Lab Operations:
Assist the Anatomy Lab Manager with receiving new donors and
returning them to the State Anatomical Board annually.
Participate lab turnover
Participate in the setup and takedown of all scheduled anatomy labs
in various programs
40% - Curriculum and Teaching:
Assist in teaching the cadaver-based anatomy curriculum during
scheduled labs and review sessions.
Collaborate with the Course Directors to improve dissection
procedures, sequence, and timing for the curriculum.
Assist in gross anatomy lab practical exams, including setup,
proctoring, grading, and handling re-takes/make-ups.
10% - Other responsibilities as assigned:
Assist the Course Directors with other anatomy lab-related tasks as
assigned.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in
Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of
hire.
Master's Degree (or higher) in anatomy or related field
Prior working experience in human cadaver dissection experience
(full body)
Prior teaching experience in a human cadaver lab.
Candidates must be able to obtain a faculty appointment at the
University of Colorado School of Medicine
Preferred Qualifications:
Human cadaver dissection experience within last 2 years
Human cadaver lab teaching experience within last 2 years
Experience working in a team setting
Demonstrate an interest in medical student education.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advanced Knowledge of human gross human anatomy
Integrity, civility, professionalism, and commitment to University
of Colorado values.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with students, faculty, and
leadership team members.
Ability to be self-directed.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has
been established as HIRING RANGE:
$70,000 to $72,000 per annum

eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
