Job Description:
Business Development & Engineering DirectorRole:The Business
Development and Engineering Director defines and maintains the
standards associated with realizing the strategic growth
initiatives for JBS Prepared Foods in a manner that allows for
repetition in the execution of these initiatives. This role is
responsible for developing, executing and managing large, complex
capital project plans to achieve organizational-wide network
optimization. Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of internal and external engineers in the entire
scope of new Plant startups from scope, design, site selection,
equipment selection and sourcing, building and startup.
- Be heavily involved in M&A activity and provide analysis as
needed to facilitate decision making.
- On an ongoing basis provide supply chain network optimization
analysis.
- Translate customer requirements into specific plans and tasks
using knowledge of the industry and delivery methodology.
- Analyze the P&L and understand the key levers to increase
profit and achieve company initiatives.
- Identify, define and execute project parameters, develop
detailed documentation outlining the project including business
requirements, project plan and schedule.
- Identify business developments, new and emerging technologies
and the potential application as they relate to a specific
project.
- Work with Plant Engineers to evaluate alternative solutions to
plant bottlenecks and disruptions.
- Develop, update, and manage project deliverables for project
schedule, scope, and resource management, ensuring project budgets
are met, and quality standards adhere to client requirements and
follow the Company's project management methodology.
- Perform risk assessment and develop contingency plans to
mitigate risk.
- Clearly communicate status and issues to appropriate management
teams.
- Manage and approve all capital budget expenditures; search out
applicable grants and subsidies for project inclusion.
- Partner with R&D for new product development and ensure
manufacturing process capability is in place.
- Other duties assigned. Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (Engineering) desired or equivalent
experience
- Proven track record of Manufacturing plant design, build
including equipment selection and plant layouts that provide
maximum efficiency
- 8 or more years of project management experience including PM
related software
- Experience in working with vendors and installation
technicians/consultants
- Analytical and critical thinking skills, accuracy and attention
to details
- Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Well-developed leadership skills in a matrix organization
structure
- Strong interpersonal, customer interface, and negotiation
skills
- Strong communications skills, both written and oral with public
presentation experience
- Comfortable in a team environment
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Business travel required
- Able to manage average to complex projects independently
Travel: This position will require about 25% travel.The applicant
who fills this position will be eligible for the following
compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60
days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed
holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service
and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $180,000 -- $200,000; and
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the
Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is
subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive
program;For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado,

estimate of the compensation for this role. This compensation range
is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account various
factors that are considered in making compensation decisions,
including but not limited to a candidate's relevant experience,
qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the
