Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO. In this role you will be
providing echo services for in/outpatients. We are looking for
someone who is registered in Adult Echo. Peds experience preferred
but not required. Current Openings:Full-Time working four 9-10 hour
days (7:00am-4:30pm). Weekend and night call rotation
included.Part-Time(20 hours/week) working 2:00pm-10:00pm. Weekend
rotations required approximately 1 time per month. You will receive
$2/hourly Weekend Shift Differential as well as a $5/hourly Night
Shift Differential when applicable.POSITION SUMMARYThis position,
acting as a specialized ultrasound technologist, aids in the
diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions in patients, playing
a central role in detecting issues related to the heart, including
heart malfunctions and in supporting the physicians as they develop
diagnosis and treatment plans.CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Performs procedures
by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses
independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to
established policy and procedures.-- Oversees Heart Clinic
echocardiographic services, ensuring quality of performance.--
Accountable for the oversight and application of scanning protocols
and quality measures, following the guidelines of ASE or IAC.2.
Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to
be performed.-- Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct in
all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and
quality patient outcomes.3. Performs high quality images and
presents them for timely interpretation, ensuring accurate
documentation.-- Performs exams and imaging duties by providing
preliminary clinical findings to the supervising physicians.-- Also
provides valuable and timely preliminary findings to the
Cardiologists or Cardiac surgeons.--4. Demonstrates competence in
performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures in
accordance with established policies.5. Performs and evaluates
equipment quality control measurements.-- Demonstrates the ability
to troubleshoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain
equipment performance.-- Maintains a safe environment for patients,
personnel and visitors.-- Adheres to safety policies.6. Accountable
for the ethical, legal, professional and certification
responsibilities related to the practice.-- This includes
maintaining confidentiality of all work information.7. Assures the
efficient operation of workflow in the department.-- Monitors and
maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure
non-interruption of services. Performs high level disinfecting in
accordance with manufacturers and regulatory policies and
procedures.8. --Functions as the clinical and technical expert in
Cardiac Sonographic Imaging for the Cardiology or Cardiovascular
department. May act as a clinical resource to staff and students,
as well as train new staff and students in sonographic techniques,
with focus on the echocardiographic laboratory.-- May provide
echocardiographic related education to Banner Health staff and
cardiac sonography students.-- May assess student competency and
provide feedback to department leadership.9. Ensures
echocardiography functions are within compliance of professional
scope of practice, accreditation and regulatory standards, Joint
Commission and Title 22.-- Performs other duties as
assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS------------Requires completion of
an accredited Allied Health Cardiovascular program. Requires
national certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic
Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing
International (CCI) as a Cardiac Sonographer. Uncertified new hires
who are Registry eligible must obtain certification within 12
months of hire.--BLS certification required.This position requires
clinical knowledge typically achieved with one to two years of
clinical experience. Must demonstrate effective communication
skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve
problems.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdult Echo experience
preferred.Additional related education and/or experience
