Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Sonora Quest. This role will be responsible for performing complex laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and quality of results, and contributing to the development of departmental processes and procedures.Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, utilizing advanced knowledge of laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
• Recognize and respond to abnormal patient and quality control results, ensuring accuracy and validity of test results.
• Monitor and control inventory, providing financial data and contributing to departmental process improvements.
• Participate in training and competency assessments, providing input for employee development and growth.
• Act as a departmental resource, providing educational information to internal and external customers, and promoting a constructive environment that encourages learning and development.Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field, or equivalent experience and certification.
  • MLS/MT or categorical certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB) preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology.
