Job Description:

Medical Lab Technician per diem position available in Greeley, CO, performing waived and non-waived tests with supervision, assisting with department compliance, and collecting, receiving, and processing biological specimens.

Job Description:

As a Medical Lab Technician, you will perform testing in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring compliance with laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements. You will also assist with department compliance, collect, receive, and process biological specimens, and perform all functions according to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform testing in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring compliance with laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements.
  
• Assist with department compliance, ensuring accuracy of test results and participating in detecting and documenting occurrences that deviate from defined procedures.
  
• Collect, receive, and process biological specimens, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification and specimen integrity.
  
• Ensure the appropriate use of supplies and materials, and assist with inventory management.
  
• Communicate courteously, professionally, effectively, and accurately with internal and external customers.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA regulation.
    
  • Foreign educated candidates must provide a detailed credential evaluation from a nationally recognized credentialing agency for review to determine eligibility.
    
  • Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy in departments where applicable.
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    
    • 
      
    • MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB).
      
    • Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and knowledge of medical terminology.
      
    • Previous experience with phlebotomy and processing.
