Job Description:
Licensed Professional Counselor LPC or MSW Schedule: 40 hrs per
week, flexible schedule Sign-on & Retention Bonus We are seeking a
dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Provider to deliver vital
mental health services to inmates within a county jail system. The
ideal candidate will possess either a master's degree in counseling
or social work. Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of inmates'
mental health needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and
clinical interviews. Develop and implement individualized treatment
plans, focusing on stabilization, skill-building, and preparation
for re-entry into the community. Collaborate with interdisciplinary
teams, including corrections staff, medical professionals, and
probation officers to ensure comprehensive care. Facilitate
referrals to internal programs and external community resources for
ongoing support upon release. Stay current with best practices in
correctional mental health and seek out opportunities for
professional growth. Master's Level: Master’s degree in counseling
or social work. Current licensure (LPC, MSW, etc.) and eligibility
for certification in correctional mental health (preferred).
Registered Nurse: Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric
nursing Correctional health experience preferred, but not required
