This position offers an opportunity to serve as a Physical Therapist providing comprehensive support across multiple school sites in a vibrant K-12 setting. The role involves leave coverage from early April through late May, with full-time hours dedicated to Pre-K through high school students. The position is itinerant, covering six schools and approximately 55 students, primarily focusing on physical and multiple disabilities ranging from mild to severe. Key responsibilities include: - Delivering specialized physical therapy services within educational environments - Supporting students with diverse mobility and physical needs - Collaborating with educators and family members to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) - Managing and utilizing pediatric mobility equipment effectively - Providing physical therapy assistance (PTA) support at the three largest schools within the assigned coverage area - Maintaining comprehensive documentation in compliance with state education requirements Desired qualifications and experience: - Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification as a Physical Therapist - Previous experience working within Colorado schools, with a strong understanding of IEP development and implementation - Knowledge of pediatric mobility equipment and therapeutic strategies tailored to school-aged children - Ability to adapt services for students with physical and multiple disabilities, ensuring compliance with legal and educational standards Location: Arvada, CO (itinerant role covering multiple sites) This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Physical Therapist seeking to impact a diverse student population through targeted therapeutic services across various educational settings.
