Job Description Job Description Full-Time Mammography Technologist II - Flexible Shifts! The Mammography Technologist II is responsible for conducting both screening and diagnostic mammography, as well as breast ultrasound procedures, to support radiologists in interpreting breast imaging. This position also involves assisting with needle localization and biopsy procedures, implementing radiation safety measures, and may require operating a mobile mammography unit. Candidates should possess the necessary certifications, have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, and comply with healthcare standards and patient care protocols. Discover your purpose with us! This role entails providing screening and diagnostic mammography along with breast sonography for radiological interpretation. If the primary focus includes specialized procedures, the technologist will assist the radiologist with needle localizations and biopsies while ensuring essential patient care during radiological processes. Adherence to radiation protection principles is crucial. Additionally, the technologist may assist with general radiographic tasks and office responsibilities as required. For those assigned to the mobile mammography unit, driving the vehicle to various locations within the community is expected. All duties should align with our mission, values, and service standards. Position Overview: Minimum Qualifications: - Education: Completion of an accredited Radiological Technology program. - Licensure: State licensure may be necessary based on the practice location. - Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience. - Certification/Registration: Must hold ARRT certification. R.T.(M) R.T.(BS) or RDMS(BR) or obtain mammography certification (Breast Ultrasound Certification). - Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in Breast Biopsy and Needle Localization procedures.
