Job Description:

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Orthopedics team, specifically during night shifts. This position is crucial in providing top-tier, patient-centered care in our state-of-the-art facilities. As an RN in this role, you will be responsible for managing the care of patients suffering from musculoskeletal issues including fractures, joint replacements, and other orthopedic surgery. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for orthopedic patients. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans. Monitor patient health status and respond to variations in condition. Administer medications as prescribed and oversee patient reactions. Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments. Maintain up-to-date patient records and document all nursing care. Strong clinical skills with a focus on orthopedic care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using medical software and patient management systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or eligibility to obtain. BLS/CPR certification required at date of hire. Preferable: Orthopedic Nursing Certification (ONC).
