Job Description Job Description Summary: The Physical Therapist
Assistant (PTA) provides skilled support for physical therapy
treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
This role works with home health patients to improve mobility,
strength, function, and independence, while collaborating with
clinical and administrative teams to ensure high-quality,
patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Assist Physical
Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans Provide
skilled physical therapy interventions, exercises, and patient
education in the home setting Monitor and document patient progress
and communicate updates to supervising PT Ensure compliance with
home health regulations, physician orders, and documentation
standards Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and operations
teams to support patient care Participate in quality improvement
initiatives as directed Perform other clinical or administrative
duties as assigned Position Qualifications: Associate degree or
completion of accredited PTA program required Current state
licensure/certification as a PTA 1–3 years clinical experience in
home health, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings preferred
Ability to follow PT treatment plans, perform interventions, and
document patient progress Knowledge of home health regulations and
documentation standards Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft
Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Availability during business hours with occasional
after-hours/weekend coverage Hours: PRN, Pay-per-visit Pay: $55.00
