Job Description:
At UCHealth, a pioneering nonprofit organization deeply rooted
in supporting community health, we are seeking a proficient
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and Student Coordinator to enhance
our knowledgeable team in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. This
role is essential for advancing our mission of delivering superior
patient-centered care through our myriad of advanced medical
facilities across Colorado. The successful candidate will not only
manage the operations of sonographic services but will also
supervise and mentor sonography students, ensuring the highest
standards of educational training and clinical practice are met.
Perform diagnostic medical sonographic examinations utilizing
ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate,
evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and
functional data. Ensure compliance with department safety
procedures and operational protocols. Maintain sonographic
equipment, report any malfunctions, and ensure the operational
readiness and cleanliness of all imaging equipment. Supervise and
mentor sonography students during their clinical rotations,
providing guidance on techniques, patient interaction, and
professional conduct. Develop and coordinate student schedules,
assessments, and any requisite training programs. Collaborate with
healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery and improve
patient outcomes. Proficiency in diagnostic sonography technologies
and techniques. Strong leadership capabilities and team management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to
provide high-quality patient care. Critical thinking and
problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active certification with the
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
