This unique role provides respiratory care at multiple UCHealth facilities in the Denver Metro area, enhancing your experience with diverse patient groups. Our respiratory therapists are crucial team members, directly impacting patient lives by delivering expert care under varied clinical conditions. This position requires travel to multiple sites, allowing for explorations in different medical environments and continuous professional growth. Assess and monitor patient respiratory conditions through diagnostic techniques. Administer treatments, like aerosol medications, and manage ventilators and artificial airway devices. Consult with healthcare teams to develop and modify individual patient care plans. Educate patients and families about respiratory health and ongoing care. Ensure operation of respiratory equipment by performing required maintenance. Proficiency in ventilator management Skillful in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency care Strong diagnostic and interventional abilities Effective communication with healthcare team and patient relatives Capacity for critical thinking and swift decision-making Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Active state respiratory care practitioner license BLS/CPR certification, with ACLS recommended
