Job Description:
UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in
Colorado, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Radiation
Therapist to join our dedicated team. Our mission is to deliver
high-quality, patient-centered care across our hospitals and
outpatient facilities. As a Radiation Therapist, you will be
integral in providing therapeutic radiology procedures and care to
our patients with precision and empathy. You will work closely with
oncologists and other healthcare professionals to design and
implement treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of
patients undergoing radiation therapy. This role requires a
meticulous attention to detail, a deep knowledge of radiation
safety and therapy procedures, and a commitment to patient care.
Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts
using radiation therapy equipment according to the treatment plan.
Monitor patients throughout treatment, noting any adverse reactions
and adjusting treatment as needed. Maintain detailed records of
treatment sessions, patient's conditions, and progress. Work
collaboratively with radiologists, oncologists, and other medical
professionals to plan and evaluate treatment plans. Educate
patients and their families about treatment processes, side
effects, and post-treatment care. Conduct radiation machine checks
to ensure accurate functioning and compliance with safety
regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of new
techniques and protocols in radiation therapy. Proficiency in
operating complex radiotherapy equipment. Strong understanding of
radiation protection and safety guidelines. Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary team. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving
skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Certified Radiation Therapist by the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current state license
as a Radiation Therapist (where applicable).
