Job Description:
Medical Manager-APP • Salary Range: $113,506 - $170,269 based on
relevant years of experience -The role includes a $15,000 annual
stipend in addition to the provider's base compensation. •
Location: Larimer County, Colorado • Status: Full Time - 40 hours
The salary range for this position is SummitStone’s good faith

services to the community that it serves. Role Overview:
Responsible for providing 30 hours per week of direct,
high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care and 10
hours per week of administrative leadership to strengthen clinical
quality, provider resilience, and team integration. The Medical
Manager serves as a working clinical leader, modeling exemplary
care while providing supervision, performance oversight, and
professional development support to assigned medical providers. In
partnership with Medical Directors and interdisciplinary
leadership, this role advances quality initiatives, ensures
appropriate staffing coverage, supports recruitment and onboarding,
and promotes operational excellence across assigned programs or
sites. Demonstrates a commitment to, and provides leadership for,

diverse and inclusive environment. Essential Duties: Provide 30
hours per week of direct inpatient and/or outpatient clinical care,
delivering high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered treatment
that actively identifies and reduces barriers to care, particularly
for marginalized and underserved populations. Provide 10 hours per
week of administrative leadership, including direct supervision of
assigned providers through performance management, documentation
review, coaching, personnel response, and oversight of
administrative processes (timekeeping, leave, CME, etc.). Conduct
comprehensive patient assessments and manage the full scope of
medical, mental health, and substance use conditions, including
diagnosis, prescribing, ordering and interpreting diagnostics,
emergency stabilization, referrals, and continuity of care
planning. Ensure quality and continuity of care by educating and
counseling patients, adjusting treatment plans as needed,
participating in on-call coverage, responding to patient concerns,
and documenting services accurately and timely in the electronic
health record. Demonstrate commitment to equity and culturally
responsive care, incorporating awareness of structural racism and
institutional inequities into clinical practice, care delivery, and
team collaboration. Advance clinical quality, provider resilience,
and team integration in partnership with Medical Directors and
interdisciplinary leadership, fostering accountability,
collaboration, and a positive team culture. Support recruitment,
interviewing, onboarding, and professional development of medical
staff, strengthening clinical excellence and leadership capacity
across the provider team. Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and
operational alignment to meet 24/7 inpatient or outpatient service
needs in collaboration with medical and operations leadership.
Serve as a clinical and operational resource for assigned
programs/sites, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines, safety
standards, infection control practices, quality improvement
initiatives, and organizational policies. Maintain regulatory and
professional compliance and continuing medical education, and
compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; advise
leadership on regulatory or practice-related changes as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate
degree from an accredited program in Advanced Practice Nursing
(PMHNP, FNP, DNP, or equivalent), or Physician Assistant required.
Minimum of 1–3 years of directly relevant clinical experience in
behavioral health and/or substance use treatment required. E
quivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated
and considered. Licenses and Certifications: Valid license to
practice in the State of Colorado as either a Physician
Assistant-Certified (PA-C), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
(APRN) required. Board certification in applicable specialty
required for physicians or ability to obtain within 1 year DEA
Registration required. Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability
to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in
mental health, substance use disorder treatment, or related
integrated care settings preferredExperience working within
interdisciplinary, team-based care models preferred . Previous
leadership experience preferred. Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred.
