and are growing strong.What will you do? -The Payroll Clerk assists
the Payroll Manager in the company's day-to-day payroll and
timekeeping processing. This position is responsible for paying
employees promptly and accurately by managing and executing the
entire payroll cycle. This position also will pay post payroll
bills, garnishments, etc., and reconcile corresponding accounts.
This role will be to communicate with the Payroll Manager, Human
Resources, Benefits, Accounting, Finance, Tax, and Field
Operations. This position is responsible for nurturing and
cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns
with the mission and values of the organization.What are the
essential duties?
- Processes payroll according to company procedures, ensuring
accuracy and timeliness of payroll delivery.
- Assists in processing all monthly, quarterly, and annual
payroll reports with the proper government agency (State, Federal,
FICA, Unemployment, Bureau of Labor Statistics, etc.).
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and
entering data, including setting up all-new employees and making
all necessary changes to current employees
- Assists with weekly and monthly HR & PR bills and reconciles
HR/PR accounts vs. schedules, bills, and deductions as
assigned.
- Assists in benefits management and reporting.
- Reviews and ensures accuracy of gross pay to net pay, including
earnings, deductions, garnishments, and taxes for Management exempt
and non-exempt employees.
- Provides support for all transactions related to special
payments and salary changes.
- Conducts ongoing audits to ensure the system setup is aligned
with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Manages the transaction processing of all employee tax-related
withholdings and garnishments in accordance with Federal, State,
and Local laws and regulations.
- Provides customer service to employees regarding
payroll-related information.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.Compensation - Hourly,
Non-Exempt: $23 -- $29What are the education requirements?
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business or accounting
preferred.What experience is needed?
- 3 + years -of payroll experience required.
- 3 + years -of accounting and bookkeeping experience
preferred.
- 1+ - year's experience with HRIS and/or payroll system (ADP
Workforce Now, Paycom, or similar system)Benefits - As a full-time
