The Role We are hiring Backend-focused Full-Stack Software Engineers at both Mid-Level and Senior levels. In this role, you will primarily work on server-side logic, data models, APIs, and internal systems , while also contributing to front-end development when needed. You will build and maintain both client-facing websites and internal tools and platforms used across the organization. These roles are on-site at our Downtown Denver office. Core Responsibilities (All Levels) Design, build, and maintain backend systems and application logic Develop and maintain APIs and data integrations Build and support internal tools and platforms Contribute to front-end development as part of full-stack workflows Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code Debug, optimize, and improve existing systems Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers Technical Requirements (All Levels) Strong proficiency in PHP (required) Experience building applications with the Laravel framework (required) Solid understanding of JavaScript (required) Strong working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 Experience working across both backend and front-end codebases Mid-Level Engineer Expectations Mid-Level Engineers are expected to be productive contributors who can work independently on defined tasks and features. You should: Have experience building and maintaining backend features in Laravel Be comfortable working with existing codebases and patterns Implement features from technical direction or specifications Debug issues and contribute fixes with minimal oversight Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively Typically: 2–4 years of professional development experience Experience working on production applications Senior Engineer Expectations Senior Engineers are expected to take ownership of systems, guide technical decisions, and raise the overall quality of the codebase. You should: Architect and implement backend systems and application features Make decisions around data models, APIs, and system structure Identify technical debt and propose long-term improvements Mentor mid-level and junior engineers Collaborate with leadership on technical strategy and planning Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability Typically: 5 years of professional development experience Significant experience with Laravel and backend architecture Proven ability to lead projects and own outcomes What We Look For Strong verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and quality Excellent organizational and time-management skills Self-motivated and accountable Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Able to take direction and collaborate across the organization Nice to Have Experience with WordPress or CMS-driven platforms Experience maintaining internal tools or shared libraries Familiarity with SEO-driven technical requirements Experience supporting high-traffic or multi-site environments Why Native Rank Work on real systems that impact revenue and operations Ownership over backend architecture and internal platforms Challenging, fast-paced engineering environment This position is Full Time in Office Denver, Colorado.
