The Application Support Analyst’s role is to support the planning,
design, development, and launch of operations systems in support of
core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven
communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help
identify, communicate, and resolve systems issues in order to
maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. The Application
Support Analyst is also responsible for assisting in the design,
delivery, and improvement of in-house software applications,
training program,s and related courseware. Essential Duties: Meet
with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define
business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve
business systems issues. Create and deploy feedback mechanisms for
end users. Analyze results, make recommendations for support
process improvement, and implement changes. Ensure compatibility
and interoperability of in-house computing systems. Review and
analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and
develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these
systems. Assist in the deployment of new applications and
enhancements to existing applications. Conduct research on hardware
and software products to justify recommendations and to support
purchasing efforts. Provide support for the testing of new and
existing software applications under development or consideration
for purchase. Field incoming problem tickets from end users to
resolve application and software issues within servers, databases,
and other mission-critical systems. Create systems models,
specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system
programmers. Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including
installing and upgrading software, installing hardware,
implementing file backups, and configuring systems and
applications. Record, track, and document the problem-solving
process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made,
and actions taken, through to final resolution. Communicate
application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including
management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders. Test
fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems
have been adequately resolved. Maintain and enhance the performance
of all new and existing software and applications across the
organization. Identify and learn appropriate software applications
used and supported by the organization. Coordinate with department
heads to assess departmental application training needs and
objectives. Participate in the design, development, and delivery of
software applications, training programs, and individual classes.
Post software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently
asked questions resources on the company intranet to assist in
problem resolution. Perform preventative maintenance, including the
installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes, anti-virus
software, and so on. Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in
troubleshooting. Position Qualifications: College diploma or
university degree in the field of computer science, information
systems, and/or 4 years equivalent work experience. In-depth,
hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise and desktop
applications. Proven experience with troubleshooting principles,
methodologies, and issue resolution techniques. Broad knowledge of
programming languages and techniques, including SQL/NoSQL. Able to
develop and interpret technical documentation for training and
end-user procedures. Knowledge of trends in technology relating to
software applications. Security Awareness Experience with building
and maintaining databases for query and problem tracking. Good
understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. Highly
self-motivated and directed. Ability to absorb new ideas and
concepts quickly. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a
high-pressure environment. Ability to conduct research into
software development and delivery concepts, as well as technical
application issues. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly
and user-friendly language. Very strong customer service
orientation. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and
presentational skills. Experience working in a team-oriented,
collaborative environment. Physical Work Classification & Demands:
• Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally,
and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible
amount of force constantly to move objects. • The individual in
this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach,

The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office
activity. • Walking - The person in this position needs to
occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets,
office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc. • Constantly operates a

machine, phone, computer, and computer printer. • The person in
this position frequently communicates with employees and external
stakeholders regarding a variety of topics related to office
administration. • Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes
mathematical calculations and formulas. • Constantly reads written
communications and views email submissions. • The person in this
position regularly sits in a stationary position in front of a
computer screen. • Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle
as certified and appropriate. • Rarely exposed to high and low
temperatures • Rarely exposed to noisy environments and outdoor

Range (Colorado only): $74,100.00 - $81,900.00 USD annually
