is looking to hire a family law paralegal with at least 5-10 years
of experience in family law whose values align with those of our
company. We are looking to expand our team to protect more children
and support more families. The Senior Family Law Paralegal provides
advanced legal, administrative, and litigation support to attorneys
in complex domestic relations matters in Colorado. This role
requires substantial independent judgment, deep knowledge of
Colorado family law statutes and procedures, and the ability to
manage a high-volume caseload involving dissolution of marriage,
allocation of parental responsibilities, post-decree litigation,
protection orders, complex financial cases, and contested

Salary: $70,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience. Health

$100,000 yearly commensurate with experience Responsibilities: The
senior paralegal serves as a subject-matter resource for the firm,
mentors junior staff, and frequently acts as the primary point of
contact for clients, experts, and court personnel. As a Senior
Family Law Paralegal at Children First Family Law, PC, your
responsibilities will include: Case Management & Client Support:
Manage full lifecycle of domestic relations cases (pre-filing
through permanent orders and post-decree). Conduct detailed client
intakes, gather preliminary information, and assist in identifying
case strategy and needs. Serve as primary liaison for clients,
providing updates, information requests, and procedural guidance.
Track deadlines under the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure
(C.R.C.P.), Colorado Rules of Evidence, and local district court
practices. Maintain and organize digital case files, pleadings,
discovery responses, expert reports, and correspondence. Drafting &
Preparation of Legal Documents: Draft high-level family law
pleadings with minimal supervision, including: Petitions,
Responses, etc. Sworn Financial Statements. Separation Agreements
and Parenting Plans. Certificates of Compliance and Mandatory
Disclosures under C.R.C.P. 16.2. Discovery requests and responses
(Interrogatories, Admissions, Production). Proposed Parenting Time
schedules, decision-making provisions, and restrictions. Motions
(e.g., to Restrict Parenting Time, to Modify Orders, to Continue,
to Compel). Pre-trial filings, trial management orders,
witness/exhibit lists. Subpoenas, etc. Prepare comprehensive
financial disclosures, including support worksheets. Draft and
assemble trial notebooks, exhibit binders, and evidentiary packets
for hearings (expenses for creating trial-related materials will be
covered by the firm). Advanced Litigation Support: Assist attorneys
in preparation for mediation, settlement conferences, and contested
hearings. Conduct factual and legal research, including statutory,
case law, and local court practice research. Prepare timelines,
issue charts, summaries of evidence, and demonstrative exhibits.
Support attorneys at trial: exhibit management, witness
coordination, and note-taking for evidentiary issues. Work With
Third-Party Professionals: CFIs, PREs, CLRs, GALs, etc. Parenting
Coordinators and Decision-Makers. Substance-use evaluators, DVOMB
evaluators, and mental health professionals. Business valuation
experts, forensic accountants, appraisers. Discovery & Disclosure
Management: Independently manage discovery workflows, including
drafting, organizing, reviewing, and summarizing large sets of
evidence, such as financial records, Digital communication records
(OFW, emails, texts), and medical, school, and therapeutic records.
Oversee compliance with C.R.C.P. 16.2 mandatory disclosures and
supplemental disclosures. Identify gaps in production and advise
attorneys regarding motions to compel or sanctions issues.
Coordinate and schedule depositions; prepare deposition summaries.
Financial Analysis & Support: Perform preliminary financial reviews
and analyses of: Income documentation, business financials.
retirement valuations (QDRO-related), and property division
spreadsheets. Prepare comparison charts of competing financial
proposals. Draft initial and revised support calculations for
attorney review. Court Coordination & Filing: Prepare and file
documents via Colorado Courts E-Filing (CCE), ensuring compliance
with formatting, service, and procedural rules. Maintain internal
docketing and tickler systems for statutory deadlines, disclosures,
and court-ordered tasks. Communicate with judicial assistants,
family court facilitators, and clerks on scheduling, procedures,
and case management. Client Relations & Communication: Provide
empathetic, timely, and professional communication with clients
navigating emotionally charged situations. Explain procedural
steps, disclosures, deadlines, and hearing expectations. Manage
client onboarding, engagement letter signatures, retainer
replenishment requests, and billing coordination. Assist clients in
completing Sworn Financial Statements, gathering disclosures, and
preparing parenting-time proposals. Practice Management &
Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise junior paralegals and
legal assistants. Contribute to the development of workflows,
templates, checklists, and internal protocol improvements,
including maintaining of case list. Assist with firm-wide quality
assurance, including compliance with ethical requirements under
C.R.C.P. 1.15, professional confidentiality rules, and
data-security policies. Participate in strategic case planning
meetings with attorneys. Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
5–10 years of experience as a paralegal in Colorado family law.
Comprehensive knowledge of: C.R.S. Title 14 (Domestic Matters),
C.R.C.P. 16.2, Rule 305.5, Rule 365, Rule 121 §1-26, local district
court practices and standing orders., Colorado child support and
maintenance guidelines, and CFI, PRE, CLR, and PC/DM processes.
Strong understanding of financial records, property division
concepts, and support calculations. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills. Proficiency with: Colorado Courts E-Filing
(CCE), Clio (training available), MS Office Suite, and Adobe.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines, high case volume, and
emotionally sensitive matters. Ability to work with minimal
supervision and anticipate attorney needs. Preferred
Qualifications: Prior experience with complex marital estates,
high-conflict parental responsibility cases. domestic
violence-related litigation, post-decree enforcement, and contempt
matters. experience preparing trial exhibits, demonstratives, and
hearing notebooks, and a background in forensic financial analysis,
business valuations, or real-estate documentation. Performance
Expectations: Demonstrate exceptional organization, precision, and
attention to detail. Maintain professionalism and emotional
intelligence in high-conflict cases. Provide proactive
communication to attorneys and clients. Uphold strict
confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards. Deliver work
product that requires minimal attorney revision. Take the lead in
managing cases, deadlines, and demonstrate ownership of case
