We welcome all that share those values to apply. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Acts in the capacity of an instructor for the Junior Golf Academy classes and clinics. May teach other group golf lessons. Develops and implements daily lesson plans. Monitors participants and ensures proper technique is followed. Provides individualized instruction when necessary. Maintains a credible golf game and remains current on teaching innovations. Provides customer service by answering questions regarding the golf course and responding to customer concerns. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience: Competitive golf experience desired; p rior experience teaching junior golf preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Skill in instructing others. Skill in interacting with public/program participants. Ability to design effective instructional programs. Physical Demands: Ability to physically perform golf instruction and demonstrate class skills/moves Sedentary work for long periods of time Occasional physical work lifting no more than 10 pounds Occasional lifting, carrying, walking and standing Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens Work Environment: Works outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions Equipment Used: This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
