JBS USA employs more than 100,000 team members, and our corporate office is located in beautiful Greeley, Colorado, where our 1,200 team members onsite enjoy more than 300 days of sunshine a year.JOB DESCRIPTION:The Legal Assistant supports business functions and the overall day-to-day operations of the JBS USA Legal Department, while supporting the delivery of quality legal services to clients by providing administrative assistance to the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and other members of the legal department as needed. In addition to general responsibility for a variety of administrative tasks, the Legal Assistant provides support with calendaring, email management, expense reports, travel, and internal department expenses. The Legal Assistant also assists with law firm and vendor billing, data analytics in connection therewith, and document retention and retrieval for subpoenas. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, to include accounting experience, a solid grasp of legal language and terminology, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and legal environment. A positive attitude, a strong commitment to client service, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, quickly changing environment is required. The Legal Assistant will be expected to perform office functions economically and efficiently, organize work, establish priorities and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with a wide variety of individuals and groups to include in-house and outside lawyers, support staff, plant personnel, and corporate executives. RESPONSIBILITIES:Supports business functions and the overall day-to-day operations of the JBS USA Legal Department, reporting to the Senior Paralegal.Variety of administrative and clerical tasks, such as calendar management, email support, editing documents and correspondence, copying, filing, scanning, and document management.Assists with the collection, accrual and payment of outside counsel invoices, and resolves billing-related issues from internal and external clients.Coordinates document retention and retrieval for subpoena, government agency, and litigation requests.Must be able to prepare a variety of documents and compose correspondence.Expected to perform office functions economically and efficiently, organize work, establish priorities and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with a wide variety of individuals and groups to include in-house and outside lawyers, support staff, plant personnel, and corporate executives. Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Accounting or legal billing experience preferred, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment.Solid grasp of legal language and terminology.Ability to manage multiple accounts and calendars in Microsoft Outlook.Prepare adhoc reports, providing analysis of financial and historical data.Exceptional organizational skills, including filing, calendaring, mailing, and proofreading.Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment and communicate clearly and directly with internal and external contacts at all levels.Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.A positive attitude, ability to take initiative, a strong commitment to client service, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, quickly changing environment is required.The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;Base salary range of $40,000 to $50,000; andThis position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.The Company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
