Job Description:

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Surgical Trauma team for overnight shifts. Located in the heart of Colorado, UCHealth prides itself on delivering patient-centered healthcare with excellence in medical service, research, and education. This position requires a professional who is skilled in providing specialized nursing care in high-pressure environments where patients have experienced severe injuries and require surgical intervention. The role involves working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that each patient’s comprehensive care plan is executed with precision and empathy. Assess and monitor patient condition, and plan and implement patient care plans Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment Perform direct patient care aimed at stabilizing the trauma patient and assisting with procedures Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans Manage medication doses, anesthesia, and ventilation support Record all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms Educate patients and their families on post-trauma care and support Proficient in maintaining a sterile environment Adept in operating ICU and surgical equipment Strong skills in patient assessment and critical thinking Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license valid in Colorado BLS/CPR Certification ACLS Certification TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
